There have been many important scientific breakthroughs throughout history that have left humans with bewilderment. But did you know that many of these discoveries weren’t really discoveries? These “discoveries” were already mentioned in the Bible years before they were confirmed to be true by science. Here are just a few:
1. The moon doesn’t actually radiate light. The sun shines it’s light on it.
If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,– Job 25:5
2. Light Travels Distances
“What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?– Job 38:19
3. It Is Impossible To Count Every Star
He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspringbe.” – Genesis 15:5; 22:17
4. Cosmic Light Exists
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. – Genesis 1:3; Psa. 74:16
5. The Northern Lights – Aurora Borealis
He spreads out the northern skies over empty space- Job 26:7
6. Earth is suspended in space.
he suspends the earth over nothing– Job 26:7
7. Entropy Increases
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.– Psalms 102:25-27
8. Sound Waves From Stars
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels shouted for joy?– Job 38:7
9. Pleiades Star Cluster
“Can you bind the chains
Can you loosen Orion’s belt?- Job 38:31
10. Sea Mounts
You hurled me into the depths,
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves and breakers
swept over me.
I said, ‘I have been banished
from your sight;
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.’
The engulfing waters threatened me,
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.
To the roots of the mountains I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you, Lord my God,
brought my life up from the pit.– Jonah 2:3-6
