A 100-year-old dog tag from World War I was discovered by the side of a Massachusetts road. No one knew to whom it belonged to. After much digging back into the past, it was found that the dog tag actually belonged to a Joseph Hughes, who was born in 1898. Hughes served in the armed and was stationed at Fort Devens in Massachusetts, which was once New England’s largest military base.

After the war, he returned back to his home state where he got married and had three kids. It was Hughe’s oldest grandson whom police got into contact with in order to return this valuable relic.
