What This Man Does For A Stranger’s Home Is Absolutely Incredible!
Josh Cyganik, a track inspector whom resides in Pendleton, Oregon. Every day, he meets up with his coworkers to start on their daily jobs, but there’s always something in particular that happens to him every day.
75-year-old Leonard Bullock sits on his front porch each morning and waves to Josh as they pass by each other. Though they haven’t formally met, Josh has developed an acquainted bond with Leonard.
One day, Josh overheard two teenagers talk about Leonard’s home, saying that it should be burnt down because it looks too old. Unfortunately, Leonard heard the rude comment as well, and Josh felt it within himself to do something about it.
“I don’t think any elderly person should have to endure what I heard from those two kids’ mouths. I kind of stewed about it for a couple of days before I decided to do something.” said Josh about Leonard.
That’s when he got the idea to give Leonard’s house a new paint job! Josh went around to the right people and asked them for help. Paint was gladly donated, and when Josh turned to Facebook, the project went viral. With over 6,000 shares and supporters, he was able to garner around 100 people to help paint Leonard’s house. Franchises like Starbucks even helped out by providing free drinks for volunteers.
By the time the painting was finished, Leonard’s house had become a beautiful beige color and was looking in excellent shape.
Josh has rejected being called a hero, and says that he just wanted to make a deserving friend happy.
“Anyone would have done the same thing. Everyone has it in their heart to do things like this.”
