“BAILEY HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY DETERMINED, IF HE WANTS TO DO SOMETHING HE WILL FIND A WAY TO DO IT, EVEN IF IT IS NOT THE CONVENTIONAL WAY.”

– BAILEY’S MOTHER, JULIE

Bailey Matthews is, without question, of the most humble and determined individuals. This 8-Year old with cerebral palsy wowed the crowd as he ditched his walker and finished the triathlon race without any help. In that very moment, every single man and woman witnessed a true champion.

Even after falling many times, Matthews did not give up and continued to endure what must have been an impossible journey.

The crowd kept roaring with support: “You’re going to make it to the finish line, Bailey Matthews. You’re going to make it to the finish line.”

And he did just that. Matthews was competing in the Castle Triathlon Series, a race that consisted of 5 events throughout this summer in the UK and France. So far, Matthews completed a 100-meter lake swim, a 4,000-meter bike ride and a 1,300-meter run.  This young boy is truly an inspiration.
