A Manhunt Is On For Suspects Who Opened Fire At A Munich Mall, Killing 9 People
At least eight people have been killed after a gunfire erupted at a shopping center in Munich, Germany. Police officials are calling it a ‘terror attack’.
They say that three individuals are loose in the city as it locked down. Residents are being told to stay in their homes and any businesses have been closed, including public transit.
“The manhunt is underway at high speed,” police said. “Because of the unclear situation we ask all people in the city area to stay at home or to look for protection in any nearby building. The operation of public transportation service has been stopped.”
The killers started their shooting spree at a McDonald’s across from the Olympia shopping mall. A witness known as Lauretta told CNN that her son was in a bathroom with one of the shooters in the McDonald’s. “That’s where he loaded his weapon,” she said. “I hear like an alarm and boom, boom, boom… And he’s still killing the children. The children were sitting to eat. They can’t run.”
Loretta heard the gunman say: “Allahu Akbar,” or God is great. “I know this because I’m Muslim. I hear this and I only cry.”
We pray for the people of Munich, and pray that these men who set out on a killing spree get justice served to them.
