When 4-year-old boy Prestyn Barnette went to go see Santa this year at a South Carolina Mall, he only had one thing in mind. His request however was not for a bicycle or an action figure, but what Prestyn wanted for Christmas was something much more touching and selfless. What he wanted was a miracle. That miracle wasn’t for himself, it was actually for another 2-year-old boy named Knox Joseph he met that was on life support in a Las Vegas Hospital.
This Mall Santa knew this type of a request was one that he wouldn’t be able to fulfill, and what happened next was simply amazing. The two knelt down in front of onlookers and bystanders, in the middle of the Christmas display at the mall and prayed a prayer together. They both asked God for a miracle for the sick 2-year-old.
A GoFundMe page is set up for the family of Knox Joseph if you would like to donate. They also welcome your prayers stating, “We are praying for him to remain stable so that home is a possibility.”
We will be praying along with Prestyn and Santa for baby Knox’s recovery, but Prestyn’s example can be an inspiration to us all.
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
