It’s no secret that Candace Cameron Bure is a Christian. She recently was invited to “The View” to speak in regards to the Oregon ruling forcing religious owners of a bakery to pay a six-figure fine for declining to make a cake at for their same-sex wedding ceremony.
Raven-Symone who prefers to be labeled a “human who loves humans” was not happy with what Candace Cameron Bure had to say.
“I think you are comparing apples to oranges here,” Bure said, explaining the real issue being debated is not limited to gay marriage.“This is about freedom of association,” she said. “It’s about constitutional rights. It’s about First Amendment rights. We do have the right to still choose who we associate with.”
Raven-Symone angrily said , “I refuse to associate myself with you right now. Is that OK?”
Although Bure was clearly nervous she stands strongly in her beliefs.
“They had a problem with the actual ceremony,” Bure said, “because that the ceremony is what conflicted with their religious beliefs.”
She went on to call the $135,000 fine “unconscionable” and “so wrong.”
What do you think about Cameron’s response?
