Popular Child Actor Speaks On His Rare Disability

Fourteen-year-old Gaten Matarazzo from “Stranger Things” has already made a name for himself. The Netflix original series of Stranger Things has become extremely popular ever since it first debuted this past summer.

But for Gaten, it has not all been fun and games. In a special guest appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show, Gaten opened up about living with his rare genetic bone disorder and how it has almost hindered his acting.

has grown wild popularity since it first debuted on July 15th. The show follows a mother searching for her son after he’s gone missing, and through the extraordinary mysteries she must confront stranger things.

Matarazzo has cleidocranial dysplasia, which primarily affects the development of bones and teeth.

“I have a really mild case and a lot of people have it much worse than I do. I feel like putting it into the show is really raising awareness for it, and I’m lucky that mine was very mild.”

Because of the disease, he was born with no collar bones, and his teeth are all under-developed baby teeth.
