Shocking Images Show Children Gasping For Breath
Pictures that have been posted on social media recently show heart-stopping images of wheezing children struggling for air as they are given oxygen masks in order to breathe, all from one attack in a Aleppo hospital.
A Rescue group called Syrian Civil Defence reports that in the al-Sukkari neighbourhood, at least 80 people have been to hospitals suffering from asphyxia from the chlorine gas attacks. There have yet to be any reported deaths.
These images were shared by the group of Basel Aslan hospital staff and appear to show a number of children being treated for breathing difficulties after the attack.
It is undetermined how much chlorine gas was used in the attack.
It is claimed barrel bombs contained chlorine, a gas denser than oxygen that can asphyxiate.
The Syrian government has continuously denied any accusation that it is using any chemical warfare during its 5-year civil war, as it is condemned by the United Nations.
