They Said Their Twins Wouldn’t Survive, They Just Got Out Of An Extremely Rare Surgery Fully Separated!
Little Savannah and Scarlett were born together with a conjoined heart, liver, diaphragm and sternum.
In an extremely rare surgery, they have been successfully separated! The most difficult part of the surgery was when the surgeons had to separate them from the connected atrium, the upper chamber where the blood enters the heart.
Also, the hospital created their first ever 3D printed conjoined twin heart so surgeons could examine the shared organ to prepare for surgery.
