We shouldn’t allow insignificant things interfere in our daily walk!

Don't sweat the small stuff

This short reflection really brought things to perspective for me, because I tend to dwell on things. Sometimes, I’m ashamed to say—insignificant things. I DO waste a lot of precious time, thinking about my yesterdays, which are forever gone. There is nothing wrong with reminiscing on beautiful moments, but just as long as those occasions don’t take over your todays. I focus on my tomorrow, which of course, will take care of itself. I focus on words or actions of others, which affect my time and being, as well.

I am going to strive to live in the present, as God would have me to. I need to make an effort to make the most of what He freely gives to me. His goodness. His blessings. His love. His time.

This short reflection on how precious time is, is from sunny skys:

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff

You have $86,400 in your bank account and someone stole $10 from you. Would you be upset and throw all of the $86,390 away in hopes of getting back at that person who took your $10? Or move on and live? Right, move on and live.

See, we have 86,400 seconds in every day so don’t let someone’s negative 10 seconds ruin the rest of the 86,390. Don’t sweat the small stuff, life is bigger than that.

Psalm 90:12 (KJV)
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (KJV)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

James 4:13-15 (KJV)
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
