Ford Is Recalling These Pickups – CHECK THE LIST!
Ford has begun to recall nearly 202,000 pickup trucks, SUVs and cars in North America because of reports that the automatic transmissions have suddenly downshift to first gear while driving.
According to ABC News, “The recall covers the 2011 and 2012 F-150 and the 2012 Expedition, Mustang and Lincoln Navigator. Ford says a speed sensor can force vehicles into a downshift.”
These problems have already caused three crashes but no injuries.
Bring it into your local dealership, they will inspect the vehicle. They will update your software if they find no trouble codes, but if they do, they will replace the parts.
The company also is recalling over 81,000 Explorer SUVs so that they can fix a rear suspension problem that is known to cause loss of steering control. That recall covers SUVs from 2014 and 2015.
