A Miraculous Transformation
Lilli Sim came into this world with a rare condition known as CFND, or Craniofrontonasal dysplasia.
At first, doctors thought that she had Cohen’s syndrome, which is an inherited disorder that affects several parts of the body. Because of this, they expected Lilli to only live for a few months. However when she showed more and more signs of CFND, they decided to take measures to ensure she would have a normal life.
Lilli has gone through countless surgeries, her first being at just six months old!
Because of her CFND, Lilli was bullied nonstop throughout her early years. It was very hard for her to make friends.
“I copped a lot of staring and I still do, but it doesn’t really phase me,” Lilli said. In one of her surgeries, her jaw had to be broken and moved around.
The most admirable part of this story is not Lilli’s physical transformation, but the fact that she has maintained a positive outlook on life despite everything that she has dealt with.
