Guide Dogs Bring Blind Couple Together



“Our dogs were the class love story. Everyone used to joke about how Mark’s dog Rodd and my dog Venice were meant to be together.”

That is what Claire Johnson had to say about her and her husband, Mark Gaffey, dogs.
While the two, who weren’t together at the time, took their guide dogs to training the two dogs were utterly inseparable.

Claire says,

I have no doubt that our guide dogs brought us together and helped me find my true love. Much like our two guide dogs, we really are best friends and soulmates.”



Having the independence to walk with their guide dogs, the human couple and doggie couple would meet up for more dates since only 1.5 miles separated them.

Her husband popped the question on Valentine’s Day 2013.The two later got married in Baralston, Stonke-on-Trent this March of 2015.

Their dogs, Venice and Rodd, even participated through the wedding as ring-bearers.
