Soda has been deeply rooted in the American Culture for generations now, and every year seems to be getting worse. The big soft drink manufacturers try everything possible in order to avoid letting the public know that drinking soda has been linked to diabetes, weight gain, and heart attacks. A recent report by New York Times has shown that Coca-Cola dumps tens of millions into medical conferences and research.

Here is a list of the worst sodas in America.

Fanta was created as a way for Coca-Cola Company to profit in Germany when the Nazi’s forbid the importation of soda’s made in America. The Soda comes in a wide variety of “flavors” but is mainly just a can of corn syrup and artificial colors. This includes Red 40 which has been linked to cancer by Canadian researchers.

The amount of sugar in some of these sodas is staggering! This soda has the most calories on the list and like many of other ones, contain caramel coloring. In the old days, you heated water and sugar on the stove for this additive. Now days though they treat sugar with ammonia which produce carcinogens. A Center for Science in Public Interest report concluded that the high amount of caramel color found in soda result in about 15,000 cancers in the U.S. a year!
