Cop Handcuffs Firefighter While He’s Helping People In Roll-Over Car Accident
Local firefighters and members of the California Highway Patrol responded to a rollover accident in Chula Vista, CA. The firefighters arrived first at the scene and parked their fire trucks in such a way that they blocked oncoming traffic to protect those at the scene of the crash.
However, when CHP officers arrived, they began ordering the firefighters to move their trucks off of the lanes. They threatened them with arrest and even directed a fire engine to leave the scene with its paramedic onboard before they could finish doing their job and administering medical aid.
An unnamed police officer urged firefighter Jacob Gregoire, 36, to move his vehicle. Gregoire, a 12-year veteran, did not comply with the ridiculous order and continued to assist crash victims. That’s when the police officer placed him in handcuffs and detained him for 30 minutes.
The incident was captured on video and photos which were later uploaded to social media, where an outrage erupted from viewers.
