Islamic State Extremists Slay A Priest In Cold Blood During Mass Attack
86-year-old Priest Jacques Hamel was killed in cold blood during a morning mass that he was conducting in a church in Normandy, France. Two men entered the church and shouted in Arabic before they slit the priest’s throat.
Then, they took two nuns and two parishioner’s hostage. A third nun managed to escape the takeover and alerted police, who then shot the suspects. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the killing. Hamel was greatly revered by the community, as he was ordained in 1958. We pray for the community, that was greatly shaken by the terrorist attack.
