Tossed Away At Just 3 Weeks Old, Hope Was Just Around The Corner
When two 3-week-old kittens named, Bert and Ernie, were found abandoned in a trash bin at a park in London, the trash collector that found them knew they needed help immediately. At that tender age, the kittens are far too young to be without their momma cat. But thanks to the specialists at the Mayhew Animal Home rescue organization, the kittens were tended to and able to get some of that lost nutrition back.
According to the ASPCA, kittens must feed on their mother’s milk until they are at least 4 weeks old. It isn’t until 8-10 weeks of age that kittens can begin to live independent of their mother’s feeding. Good thing we have people like these looking out for the ones that can’t look out for themselves.
