Little Girl Points Out The Awful Gender-Specific Choices For  Children’s Clothing

“Hey!” “Beautiful.” “I feel fabulous.”

Those are the types of slogans that were embroidered onto t-shirts for girls in Tesco store in Swindon, England. The boys’ shirts, on the other hand, have the phrases “hero,” “think outside the box,” and “desert adventure awaits.”

Eight-year-old Daisy Edmonds was outraged at the fact that boys’ slogans had much more meaning than those of girls’. Filmed by her mother, she was asked what she thinks about the options that are given to her.

It’s unfair because everyone thinks girls should just be pretty and boys should just be adventurous… I think that’s wrong because why should boys and girls clothes even be separated, because we’re just as good as each other.

“What part of ‘Hey!’ is great? I just don’t get it.”
