Man Posed As A Terrorist To HiJack An Egyptian Plane
Passengers of an Egyptair flight received the scare of a lifetime this week. Seif Eldin Mustafa, a man with some mental illness history, posed as a terrorist in order toh hijack a plane from Egyptair Airlines.
The suspect held the passengers on the plane hostage, all but 7 of them. Negotiations were trying to be made during the standoff. The suspect wore a fake suicide vest made out of cell phone cases that were fashioned to look like an explosive vest.
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades assured the public that the incident was not terrorist related.
“It’s not something which has to do with terrorism,” he said.
