Do You Think That The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side?
When life is not as we intended it to be, we are more apt to feel sorry for ourselves. Surely, others cannot be going through similar circumstances?
If you were given the opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes, would you? What if you were told that if you agree to do it, that you would never be able to return to your old self? Would you still make the pledge?
Well, in this video, a young boy is so focused on the dilapidated state of his shoes, that he cannot look beyond that. It is the sole focus of his life. So, when he sits next to a boy that is around his same age, he only focuses on that boy’s new shoes. He compares his to his own.
He walks away, disappointed, thinking that life is not fair. At least not to him. He starts wishing, aloud, that he could be like the boy with the new shoes.
His heartfelt dream was granted. Do you think that he is content with his decision?
Truly, until we walk in other people’s shoes, we do not know their daily trials and struggles. Who knows? Perhaps once you walk in someone else’s shoes, your only desire will be to return to your own!
We need to find contentment in our daily life. I know that I can endure my trials, but quite frankly, I don’t know if I can endure yours.
