Orphan Sisters Reunite While Working In The Same Hospital
Although the early lives of orphaned sisters Pok-nam and Eun-Sook have been filled with much sorrow, their future has never looked brighter!
Pok-nam Shin, who now goes by Holly Hoyle O’Brien, never knew her mother because she died before leaving her a single memory. Her and her sister were left with their father who made many mistakes in raising his daughters. Depression and alcoholism consumed him and when he remarried, his new wife got up and left with Holly’s sister. Their father then committed suicide a short time afterwards, and Holly was the one who had to identify the body.
Holly was adopted by a loving family. But the fact that her sister was missing from her life was tearing her inside. One night she woke up in tears, and the things she kept bottled up came gushing out for her parents: “I said my daddy died, I have a sister, we need to find her.”
Eun-Sook was adopted in 1976, and grew up in Kingston, N.Y. It was probably a matter of fate that these two little girls would grow up into a profession in the medical field. The two reunited on the fourth floor of a medical surgical unit. In these incredible turn of events, it is without a doubt that God works in wonderous ways. God bless your new found family!
