Parents Talk About The Last Heartbreaking Moments They Had With Their Daughter Before She Was Killed In The Paris Bombings
Although the terrorist attacks last Friday happened in Paris, the pain and hurt echoed throughout the entire world. In America, the disaster left one home devastated and parents Jose Hernandez and Beatriz Gonzales heartbroken.
The 23-year-old was a college student on broad studies in Paris, and was eating at a restaurant when the attacks began.
“I feel lost, sadness and she was my only daughter. She was a very strong young woman. She had big decisions, when she went to do something she committed to whatever she was doing.” her mother Beatrzi tells ABC.
The last time they spoke to their daughter was Wednesday, just 2 days before the tragedy. They were eating dinnner with her boyfriend in the states, listening to Nohemi telling them how she wished she was there. Coming home for Christmas was in her plans.
California State University, Long Beach has created a fund in Nohemi’s name and memory to support international study for their students. They have raised over $4,000 so far.
