Officer Who Shot An Unarmed Therapist Speaks Up For His Actions

We first brought you the story of a behavioral therapist helping an autistic patient who was shot by a police officer. An onlooker on site had called authorities saying that a man was wielding a gun around the neighborhood. As it turns out, it was only an scared autistic child wandering about.

The therapist, Charles Kinsey, was unarmed and was only to help his patient. That’s when Officer Jonathan Aledda of the North Miami Police Department took aim and shot the therapist.

An outraged community banded together to bring about changes. And now, for the first time ever Officer Aledda speaks on the incident, saying that he allegedly meant to shoot the autistic patient.
