The New “Finding Dory” Movie Might Put Blue Tangs In Danger

How will the new movie “Finding Dory” affect wildlife? Scientists are actually worried that it might put Blue Tangs in danger. As seen before in previous films, the excitement of certain movies can increase the demand for certain animals. Blue tangs are difficult to raise while in captivity. If people can’t buy them from captivity, they will take them from their natural habitat, which will threaten Blue Tang populations.

In previous cases like in Finding Nemo, clownfish sales saw a 40% increase. When the 101 Dalmatians movie was released, the popularity of the animal also did. This was true with the owl pertaining to Harry Potter and turtles with the Ninja Turtles franchise.
