Mars Chocolate North America announced a recall on its 24.0 oz. purple bag Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes as a result of unlisted possible allergic ingredients.

The recalled Dove candy bags might pieces of Snickers, Milky Way and Twix candies, which contain peanuts, wheat and/or eggs making them dangerous for those with allergies.

The FDA states that the issue was acknowledged when a customer found a Snickers piece in one of the Dove candy bags and reported it to Mars Chocolate North America. There have been no reported tragic reactions from customers at this time, but make sure to check if you purchased this specific candy item for your family this holiday season.

About 6500 cases of the recalled candy were delivered starting September 19, 2015 through December 1, 2015 at one major retailer with stores in the following locations: AZ, GA, MA, MS, OH, VA, CA, IA, MD, NH, OK, VT, CO, IL, ME, NJ, OR, WA, CT, IN, MI, NM, PA, WI, DE, KS, MN, NV, RI, WY, FL, KY, MO, NY and TX.
