San Diego- A man shot at Sand Diego police officers from a Bankers Hill apartment complex finally turned himself in after a 5 hour standoff with SWAT. The standoff locked down nearly schools, streets, and delayed landing at Lindbergh Field.

Residents were instructed to stay in place and were warned that there was a man equipped with a high power rife. The suspect at one point even fired towards another apartment complex. Luckily no one was hurt.

The incident began around 9:10 am when officers received a call for a domestic violence disturbance at a complex on Brant Street near Kalmia Street. When the officers arrived, they were fired upon by the suspect. Officers were forced to return fire and immediately call for backup.

At one point, SWAT officers were seen shooting teargas canisters into the building through the roof hatches. The officers then used flash bangs around 2:30 pm and the suspect dropped a magazine and rife out the window.

Now that the incident is over with, flights have been resumed and everything worked out well thanks to our officers.

“Holy Lord,

We’d like to thank you for being with our officers and for keeping everyone safe. Please be with everyone involved and calm their hearts and minds as they try to figure out why this happened. Give them the peace of mind that you are with them and that your grace and mercy goes with them.
