Sikh Army Captain Is Making Headlines After Being Allowed To Wear A Turban In Uniform
The Army has granted Capt. Singh, a Sikh, permission to wear a turban and beard while serving in the armed forces. He is the first-ever active duty soldier to have been granted this permission.
A Federal court ordered just ruled in favor to be allowed to continue in his Sikh faith while in the army. He now serves with long hair, a beard, and a turban in accordance with his faith.
