Rapper and Entrepreneur Kanye West, made news headlines this week when he made a request via social media to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He asked the billionaire to give him 1 billion dollars in order to help fund his ideas. In that same sentiment, The Dream Center Los Angeles has created the #MakeYourMark Campaign starting off with a video appeal to Zuckerberg, challenging him to match the donations made via the Dream Center’s GoFundMe page.
The Dream Center is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization, that finds and fills the needs of over 80,000 individuals and families each month. They provide free-of-charge, everything from mobile hunger relief, medical programs, residential rehabilitation programs for adults, transitional housing for homeless families, foster care intervention programs, job skills training, life skills, counseling, GED and HISET classes, and is the only 24/7 emergency shelter for sex trafficking victims.
If you want to get involved to try to help get Mark Zuckerberg to match donations made to The Dream Center, you can visit GoFundMe/MakeYourMarkDC to make a donation, make your own video asking people to help out on Youtube, or issue the challenge to a friend or celebrity. Join in on social media by posting with the hashtag #MakeYourMark and let’s see if Mark will match it.
