Insight Into Umpqua Community College Shooter Revealed

The gunman of the horrific shooting yesterday left insight into his reasoning in a note that he left at the scene of this rampage. He:

“felt the world was against him.”

The gunman, identified as Christopher Harper Mercer,  was killing by the police after he shot and killed multiple people at Umpqua Community College in Oregon. He was prepared to die stating in his note that he would be:

“welcomed in Hell and embraced by the devil.”

Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin told NBC’s Today:

“He is a local resident and I know personally I haven’t heard of any warning signs coming from this person.”

A look at a Myspace page that seems to belong to Mercer features a picture of him holding a rife, masked gunmen, and other logos.

A deeper look into linked pages show that Mercer was an average guy who was quiet. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. It’s a tragedy knowing someone would go the length that he did and his full motives have still not been revealed.

“Holy Lord,

We continue our prayer vigil for those that lost their lives in the needless shooting in Oregon. We ask that you continue to comfort the families of all of the victims, and also the family of Christopher Harper Mercer. They are also grieving and asking the same question of “why?” We ask that you heal those that were broken because of the incident, both those of today and of mind. Continue to guide us and watch over us as we continue to cope with the aftermath of this tragedy.
